Number coding suspended starting Thursday afternoon

The Metropolitan Manila Development (MMDA) on Wednesday by it's press release, number coding will be suspended in Metro Manila beginning 1 p.m. on Thursday.

The suspension intends to give freetime to motorists who will spend the New Year in the provinces.

Motorists with vehicles whose plate numbers end in 7 and 8 can use Metro Manila's major thoroughfares beginning 1 p.m. The MMDA, however, clarified that the cities of Makati and Las Piñas will not be covered by the suspension.

December 30, Rizal Day, number coding will be suspended for the whole day. The MMDA noted that the suspension already covers major thoroughfares in Makati and Las Piñas since Rizal Day is a regular holiday.
