Number coding suspended except Makati and Las Pinas

The Number Coding in Metro Manila has been lifted amid an influx of holidaymakers during the Christmas season, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MDMA) stated starting 1 p.m. Friday "to facilitate convenience and mobility of travelers in preparation for Christmas Day."

However, the number coding doesn't include the cities of Makati and Las Piñas.

Under the scheme, vehicles with plate numbers ending in 9 and 0 are not allowed on major thoroughfares from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
